Downtown Amtrak extension & Folsom extension of the LRT for Sacramento Regional Transit, Sacramento, California
John Stitt, PE was Deputy Project Manager and record engineer on a $38 M transit project from Sunrise Boulevard to Downtown Folsom, and a short segment in Downtown Sacramento. Managed design, boundary and design survey, right-of-way engineering and construction support for five year duration. Project included park & ride and transit stations, right-of-way, topographic surveys, utility surveys, tree surveys, ALTA survey, legal descriptions for right-of-way and easements. The project included 10 miles of track to Downtown Folsom, two multimodal stations (10 acres sites) and five LRT stations among other engineering features. The photo is of construction of the Folsom Station, which straddles the American Bridge over the American River. Project duration 2001 to 2005.
